Washing Symbols Meaning/Laundry Care Guide

1. Washing Symbols:

 • Machine Wash: A symbol of a tub filled with water indicates machine washing. Numbers inside the tub indicate the maximum temperature in Celsius (e.g., 30°C, 40°C).
• Hand Wash: A hand in the tub symbol indicates that the item should be hand-washed only.
• Do Not Wash: A tub with a cross through it means the item should not be washed (dry clean only).
2. Bleaching Symbols:
• Bleach Allowed: A triangle symbol means bleaching is allowed.
• Non-Chlorine Bleach Only: A triangle with diagonal lines inside it means only non-chlorine bleach can be used.
• Do Not Bleach: A triangle with a cross through it means no bleach should be used.
3. Drying Symbols:
• Tumble Dry: A square with a circle inside it indicates tumble drying. Dots inside the circle indicate heat level: one dot for low heat, two dots for medium heat, and three dots for high heat.
• Do Not Tumble Dry: A square with a circle inside it and a cross through it means do not tumble dry.
• Line Dry: A square with a curved line at the top means to line dry.
• Dry Flat: A square with a horizontal line inside it means to dry flat.
• Drip Dry: A square with three vertical lines inside means to drip dry.
4. Ironing Symbols:
• Iron: An iron symbol indicates ironing is allowed. Dots inside the iron indicate the temperature: one dot for low, two dots for medium, and three dots for high heat.
• Do Not Iron: An iron with a cross through it means do not iron.
5. Dry Cleaning Symbols:
• Dry Clean: A circle symbol indicates that the item can be dry cleaned. Letters inside the circle indicate specific solvents that can be used (e.g., “P” for perchloroethylene).
• Do Not Dry Clean: A circle with a cross through it means the item should not be dry cleaned
